A powerful story of recovery and hope has emerged as Bongi, a former drug addict, officially graduated from LADGAG Rehabilitation Centre in Polokwane and is now preparing to return home.
A few months ago, Mr Moloto and his dedicated LADGAG team visited Bongi at his home after his family made the difficult decision to seek help for him. At the time, Bongi was heavily involved in drug use and dealing, living in poor conditions and unaware of the damage drugs had caused to his life and relationships.
Concerned for his wellbeing, Bongi’s family contacted LADGAG, who intervened and transported him to their rehabilitation facility in Polokwane. Through structured support, counselling, and discipline, Bongi began his journey to recovery.
Now fully rehabilitated, Bongi expressed excitement and gratitude as he prepares to return home drug-free.
“I want to thank Mr Moloto for saving me from drugs. I am very grateful. I have even gained weight and my life has changed for the better. I will never go back,” Bongi said.
Bongi also used the opportunity to advise young people to stay away from drugs, warning that substance abuse causes confusion and creates painful divisions between individuals and their families.
The transformation has sparked positive reactions on LADGAG’s Facebook page, where supporters praised the organisation’s work.
Thabang Bank Moeketsi commented, “I see Bongz doing well in the media and entertainment space. Well done, homie.”
Vivian Chiloane added, “Don’t let us down, Bongi. Keep it clean!”
Velile Makha wrote, “A job well done, LADGAG… blessings.”
LADGAG Rehabilitation Centre continues to play a vital role in fighting drug abuse and restoring hope to families across Limpopo and beyond.
