​Founded in 2024 by Mulatedzi Nemushungwa, [The Female Journalist] was born out of a passion for authentic communication and a commitment to journalistic integrity. Based in Johannesburg, our platform was created to provide a perspective that is often missing in mainstream media—one that is professional, inclusive, and deeply connected to the audience.

​Our Founder & Leadership
​Mulatedzi Nemushungwa is a veteran broadcast and digital journalist, news reader, current affairs presenter and the Director of The Female Journalist (Pty) Ltd.
​With a career defined by leadership, Mulatedzi has previously served as the Head of the News and Publicity Division, where she spearheaded editorial strategy and public communication. Her extensive background in current affairs and media management allows her to bring a high level of expertise to every piece of content published here.
​Mulatedzi is also a published author, known for works such as The girl they laughed at and The Debt Settlement Bible, where she helps others navigate career transitions and financial literacy.
